Trade Culture at Anime Festivals

     The anime festival is now a holiday for students.

    It comprises performances, trade, and food. The crowds are dressed in their finest attire, much like people celebrating the Lunar New Year. Before the New Year, people stock up on food and supplies, and wear new clothes and hats. Of course, this requires time for entertainment. The trade at the anime festival mainly consists of school supplies, daily necessities, and food, with some clothing accessories and exquisite handicrafts. This enriches students' lives and provides them with the necessary experience and opportunities to mature into a more sophisticated market-oriented individual. Therefore, the trade at the anime festival serves as a training ground for students transitioning from their formative years to a more mature market-oriented life. For

    students fresh out of school, market trade is a complex and often chaotic economic entity, lacking familiarity and understanding. The anime festival provides students with opportunities to adapt to this complex economic environment, allowing them to begin accustomed to the functional aspects of a complex economy. The current market economy is leading to more personalized, private, and specialized labor for students as adults. After reaching adulthood, students don't work in state-owned communes, and most can't enter state-owned enterprises. Therefore, private ownership is now the primary labor mechanism for students, especially art students. Selling their possessions has become a means of survival for them. This is a major characteristic of the country's economic transformation, but the national economy will certainly not be privatized. The role of economic power is to strengthen the nation. When China's economic power is weak, privatization is used to motivate people.

    Moving from the primary stage of socialism to communism is the continuous effort of China's revolutionary predecessors. It will also be the continuous effort of the post-70s, post-80s, and post-90s generations of Chinese students graduating from school. Trade is not the mainstream of national strength, but national strength requires material security. Having its own manufacturing industry (including handicrafts) and its own healthcare system are signs of national strength. The essence of the economy should be prosperity, and prosperity is not only characterized by everyone working but also by everyone being well-off. Chinese culture is definitely uniquely Chinese because folk customs are indispensable. When trade becomes mainstream in Chinese trade culture, China will begin to take off. Trade at animation festivals should have cultural aspects; trade within folk customs has long possessed cultural elements. Just as China's trade culture will become mainstream in world trade, that will be the time when China truly becomes prosperous.
