The Chinese Dream – A Gardener's Passion

Like a silkworm spinning silk until death, like a candle burning until it's ash, you sang this praises. —Epigraph

A piece of chalk, a clean conscience, you used words to answer our questions; in the classroom, with students from all corners of the world, you used facts to illustrate the legend of life.

From our first steps to our current nimble strides; from our ignorance of society to our understanding of life; from our immaturity to our maturity… Teacher, how much effort have you poured into this?

Your tireless dedication is your attitude towards work; your perseverance is your seriousness towards teaching; your unwavering loyalty is your steadfastness towards the motherland; your selflessness and integrity are the wisdom you taught us for living and interacting with others… Teacher, how much passion have you given?

Some say, "Your work is today, yet it builds the future of our nation; your teaching is in the classroom, but its achievements are felt throughout the land."

Some say, "Rivers propel us to the vast ocean; dawn brings us a bright morning; and you guide us towards a magnificent life."

However, I want to say, "Teacher, how much of your youth have you dedicated?"

Teacher, a sacred profession, shoulders the heavy responsibilities entrusted by the nation, your presence felt in every corner of the country, sowing seeds of hope across its mountains and valleys.

Teachers, engineers of the human soul, are exemplary role models; educating and nurturing is their sacred duty; love and respect for students are the foundation of education; and reason is the guiding light of a teacher's life. Even the

fallen leaves cannot erase the sorrow of Song Yu; your refined and elegant demeanor is also my teacher.

Teacher, a beautiful word, an object of human respect; teacher, a wonderful title, enough to melt even the snow-capped mountains of a thousand years. Your sincere love has awakened so many lost souls, nurtured so much confidence, ignited so much youth, and propelled so many journeys.

Teacher, people say you are the pillars of the nation, but it's more accurate to say you *are* the pillars of the nation. It is you who support the backbone of our generation.

Teacher, you are the cultivator of beauty, the sower of beauty. You use sunshine and rain to nourish our hearts, creating lush green fields and blooming flowers.

Bai Juyi once wrote in "Responding to Lord Ling's Planting Flowers in Front of the Green Field Hall": "Lord Ling's students are all over the world, why plant more flowers in front of the hall?"

Yes, teacher, you have used your life's blood to water countless flowers and plants, creating countless fragrant peach and plum blossoms.

Gardener, a noble title, it is because of your hard work and dedication that we have students all over the world, and your warmth spreading far and wide!
