     "I can't live without you, not him,"

    a friend said. The boy who had pursued her for a long time got married today. She attended the wedding; the bride was beautiful, and the groom was handsome. It seemed like the first time she realized he was quite charming. How come she hadn't noticed before? She said she had always thought she had never fallen in love with him, but her heart ached when the bride and groom exchanged rings. She said the saddest thing wasn't that the person you love doesn't love you back, but that the person who has loved you for many years turns away. When you see the person who said they would love you forever and wait for you forever putting a ring on another girl's ring finger, you can hear your own heart breaking. Today's protagonist isn't you. Whether she's Cinderella or not, today's princess isn't you. He was a pilot. During his closed training, he had to walk a long way to a nearby public phone booth just to call her. It was snowing and very cold in winter, and she would impatiently say, "Why do you keep calling me for no reason?" She didn't know he was freezing over there. He just wanted to hear her voice. Now, when she thinks about these things, a happy smile still appears on her face.

    Then, regaining my composure, I looked at the newlyweds before me. The groom was still him, but his sweet words and vows were no longer for her. How many people can promise to love someone for a lifetime and then act on it? When years of effort yield no results, who will still wait for you? I finally understand that we can all bravely face the fact that the person we love doesn't love us back, but no one can truly face the fact that when someone who has loved you for a long time turns and leaves, that pride, that happiness, vanishes completely. Please cherish the person who silently loves you by your side. Perhaps one day, when they truly leave, you will find that it is you, not him, who cannot live without each other.

I, probably because I took a long afternoon nap, am still awake.
